Vanessa Solis, LCSW
Vanessa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), who completed her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of California Santa Barbara, and her master’s degree in Social Work from San Francisco State University. Vanessa has over a decade of experience working within multiple facets of the child welfare system, and therefore with individuals who have suffered abuse, trauma, and other life stressors impeding wellness. Having worked collaboratively alongside educators, law enforcement, medical staff, court personnel, fellow social workers and therapists, Vanessa brings a diversified perspective to her clinical work.
In addition to utilizing motivational interviewing and solution focused interventions, Vanessa prides herself in bringing a social justice intention into her therapeutic practice. By creating space to explore how bias and discrimination can impact mental health, clients can foster their individual resilience within historical and current societal crises. Prioritizing a space safe for healing, Vanessa helps her clients access their own motivation, and find solutions to empower themselves and create positive change.
